Creative Japanese Classical Dancer, Choreographer, Director, Playwright, Producer, a “SAMURAI”Ukon Takafuji, a second-generation successor of Takahuji-ryu, a creative Japanese Classical dance studio headquartered in Kanazawa city, Ishiwaka prefecture, Japan. He has directed and scripted many dance pieces and performed at famous historical sites in Japan, such as his name-taking ceremony at Ishikawa Prefectural Noh Theater, Nijo-jo Castle, Daikoku-ji Temple, and Koudai-ji Temple.His New Year’s performance always takes place in Kagaya, a Japanese style hotel at a hot spring named Wakura-Onsen in Kanazawa.The popularity of his unique productions has been skyrocketed even abroad; with performance in New York, Oregon, Hawaii, China, Taiwan, Philippine, and Bali.Ukon Takafuji is also the head of Tachibana Itto-ryu of Creative Japanese sword dance in Tokyo, Japan. He created a sword dance performance by combining Tachibana-ryu of Japanese Classical dance with his original Japanese sword dance.
